As an admirer of the Italian Renaissance and of some artists of that time, I have developed several series of paintings inspired by them.
In 2019 for the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci, in 2020 also for the 500th anniversary of Rafael Sanzio's death and finally 2021 for the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri.
I contextualize their works in our present day.
The work presented is from the series "Confined 2020", a reflection of the circumstances and changes that have occurred in society due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for example the generalization of online work and education, in full confinement as shown
they were positively affected the air, the rivers and the nature retaking spaces.
The highest price has been paid by those who have passed away.
And an overwhelmed health system had no doubt that one of the protagonists was health personnel, doctors, nurses and all those who work in hospitals, they deserve a Tribute.

Tribute to Health Personnel 1

1. What’s your background?

Initially in drawing I was self-taught but 12 years ago I signed up for 5 years in an art studio-workshop run by a couple of established artists here in Catalonia, later after a couple of years in an art school with Italian Renaissance painting techniques.

2. What does your work aim to say?

Until now it could be classified as a visual chronicler of my time.
The actuality is what motivates me to use pencils, brushes, colors and create a plastic set that transmits something, the interpretations of the result can be very varied.

3. How does your work comment on current social or political issues?

My work so far is a 100% social and political analysis of my current situation, not only local, but also global.

4. Who are your biggest influences?

Those individuals who throughout history using any medium have wanted to transmit something to society.
Many of those works are revealing truths of their time. These will be called "Artist".

5. How has your art evolved over the years?

When ideas are important in the work, the plastic requirement is not so important.
I try to find a balance between the ugly and the beautiful ... it is not always achieved..

6. What does art mean to you?

Knowledge and life.

7. What’s the most valuable piece of art to you?

That which gives us light, knowledge. Freedom.

8. What’s next for you in the future?

I hope to continue enjoying and learning what I do, in this world called Art.
