Richard Michelle-Pentelbury
Richard Michelle-Pentelbury enjoys deploying different stylistic methods to depict our many viewpoints of life. Multiply awarded across the disciplines of art, academics, teaching, theatre directing, musicals, plays, acting, and writing too, Richard integrates his many fields of interest into his images. He feels that art speaks individually to us, but in differing voices during our times with it, as we bring our own lives to its presence. Past, Present, and Potential are depicted using Renaissance oil-glazing, (which is a patient process of layering transparent colours.) As such, somewhat surreal, his paintings are intended to inspire inquisitiveness, as they yoke the inherent variables of spiral dynamics, integrating our progressive ‘holons’ of metacognitive realizations. The esoteric depends on one’s knowledge. The spiritual depends on one’s resonance. The feeling, or reaction, is in the moment.
Displayed in art shows internationally, such as, Basel; Venice; and Zurich; New York; Miami; and in Canada too, Richard’s paintings have received international awards, such as the Masterful Minds Award; the Artistic Excellence Award; the World Art Award; the American Art Award; and the prized Art Collector’s Choice Award.
