Larisa Sved
Larisa Sved’s paintings are deeply personal and employ a realist technique that occasionally moves towards abstraction. As a self-taught artist, she is inspired by the natural surroundings of Canada and the Cayman Islands with her detailed depictions of flora created to convey messages of peace, harmony and joy.
Sved is using mainly acrylic paint on canvas, wood, rocks.
Sved is a supporting member of Cayman Islands Visual Art Society, National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. Her artwork most recently featured in NGCI’s 3rd Cayman Islands Biennial “CONVERSATIONS WITH THE PAST IN THE PRESENT TENSE” (2023); “TERRA BOTANICA” Exhibition at NGCI (2022); “I” THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND ME at M.A.D.S.
