1. What’s your background?

I came into contact with graphic design, photography and the wide field of art at a very early age because of my grandparents’ reproduction business, Weigle Reprotec. Primarily due to the influence by my grandfather, Theo Weigle, a successful painter and sculptor, art has become an important and decisive part of my life.

2. What does your work aim to say?

With my work, include paintings, assemblages or even installations, I'd like to point out varying topics including humanity, social inequality or significance of family and friends. In respect of paintings I use graphical parts to visualize the appropriate subject.

3. How does your work comment on current social or political issues?

My Artistry, especially through assemblages, picks up social and socio-critical topics like racism or solidarity and to admit individual interpretations.

4. Who are your biggest influences?

The interaction with people who, with their individuality, behaviour and being as they are, repeatedly provide me with new input for my artistic work and my own development.

5. How has your art evolved over the years?

Over the years my view of the wide field of art has altered - particularly purpose and impact on art. Therefore my art has further developed in recent years and matured with regard to topics and artistic realisation.

6. What does art mean to you?

Means a lot to me because I can make my thoughts and intentions available to everybody else.

7. What’s the most valuable piece of art to you?

Pieces, which I've shared with my grandfather, Theo Weigle. The combined work and artistic exchange have positively influenced me as an artist.

8. What’s next for you in the future?

Improve myself - both as man and artist.
