I was born in the Land of Don Quixote, Ciudad Real (La Mancha / Spain). My family environment and the multidisciplinary influence of my professional activity; in sports, music, engineering, inventions and art, in Castilla-La Mancha and Madrid, it was decisive for artistic creation, of a personal and different style, called Rivismo, based on the application of Experiential Brushstrokes.

My work has a strong personal identity stamp that I apply as freely as possible. I use my creativity to be different and I look for new artistic proposals that surprise and excite. This I get through Rivismo.
My good imagination has been and is essential to develop creative and innovative works that positively interact with the viewer's gaze. My training, among others, as a Project and Organization Engineer, makes me work in an orderly and methodical way, studying the best alternatives, supervising good execution, introducing scientific topics, balancing the composition and making the painting a passable space for the viewer. . As a result, images are produced with elaborate precision workmanship, with impressive density and depth that are visually captivating. For me, the artist's work is the embodiment of his inner self in a tangible way.
My works are not intended to be mere decorative objects, but a skillful source of provocation that encourages the viewer to participate and, at the same time, to become a creative artist during the course of their journey through the work and for the duration of the images etched on your retina.

Art Explosion at the Station

1. What’s your background?

Art was included in my family environment. My grandfather painter of extraordinary murals, mainly with hunting motifs. My mother painter of landscapes, flowers and children's themes. My father whose company was engaged in an activity related to the application of techniques closely related to art.
All this artistic source was present in me since I was a child, and I participated during school holidays, as an assistant in the work done by my relatives and their companies. This beginning was the basis to continue and consolidate my artistic proposal, which I have called Rivismo, and which has been complemented with the multidisciplinary influence of my professional activities; in sports, music, engineering and inventions.
As proof for art lovers, I have used the most direct method of presenting my works, through exhibitions. I have had solo and group exhibitions in various countries; Spain, China, South Korea, Italy, the United States, among others. In addition, there are works of mine in the collection of several Museums, in Spain, Denmark and South Korea. The influence of the Internet; websites, blogs and social networks have contributed very quickly to publicize this artistic proposal. In response to all this dissemination of my work, I have received good news by being recognized, inviting me to international exhibitions, interviews, inclusion in art books and magazines, and awarding multiple international awards.

2. What does your work aim to say?

I have developed my artistic proposal, Rivismo, to make new concepts tangible, to give my imagination full freedom, and to apply a work in which inspiration is needed, and in which it predominates; planning, precision in execution and, especially, the inclusion of new roles and functions incorporated into the materials and elements involved in the composition. I use my creativity to be different and I look for new, innovative artistic realizations that surprise and excite. In this way, I want to bring freshness to art.
The Philosophy and Concepts of Rivismo, based on the application of Experiential Brushstrokes, give freedom to the material and immaterial elements, so that they participate in equal conditions as if they were people. Mathematical or physical materials and expressions, among others, participate in functions and feelings typical of human relationships. Hence, a conceptual balance is established between non-human elements; the strong and the weak, equality, empathy or role reassignment. Weak or brittle materials take over the characteristics and functions of strong materials.
My works, which oscillate between reality and unreality, also show a balance between basic elements such as; composition, textures, colors, etc., and above all, with the creation of an energetic current that circulates through the stage, between the material, immaterial and human elements, which is projected outwards, enveloping itself with the energy of the viewer. My images, and even part of them, I make them with a depth to make them visually passionate and I complement them through motifs of impressive density.

3. How does your work comment on current social or political issues?

In my works the ingredient of positivity is fundamental and I try to make the trip, walk or tour that the viewer takes through my works is the most exciting, surprising and, above all, that it contributes elements that avoid sadness and bad memories. However, in momentous moments it is necessary to resort to all kinds of expression that condemn certain facts that violate the rights and integrity of people and society.
On the occasion of the terrorist attacks on September 11 in New York and March 11 in Madrid, I made two works in which I denounced what happened, giving prominence to images that described the terrible massacre. These works were exhibited in various Exhibition Rooms and on Social Networks.
Also, with my imagination and using mathematical and physical elements, among others, I want to carry out work that denounces social or political problems in a new way and that tunes in with those affected and removes the conscience of those who provoke them.

4. Who are your biggest influences?

My work has a strong personal identity stamp that I apply as freely as possible and without limitations. I use my creativity and inspiration to be different and I look for new artistic proposals that surprise and excite. This I get through Rivismo. For this reason, I try to avoid any influence or contamination that damages the concepts and philosophy with which I have developed my artistic proposal. I seek through selective research to meet the objectives of my work to contribute something totally new.
My many experiences and my good imagination have been and are essential to develop creative and innovative works that interact positively with the viewer's gaze and, that provoke in them, the reaction of feeling and seeing something different.
My works do not pretend to be mere decorative objects already known, but a skillful source of provocation that incites the viewer to participate with something new and, at the same time, to turn them into a creative artist during the course of their journey through the work and during the how long the recorded images remain on your retina.

5. How has your art evolved over the years?

I have previously commented that my relationship with art has been around since I was a child. Throughout this period and until now, the information and experiences that I have stored in my brain have been the source to use and adapt it to any situation, in order to create works whose production director would be my imagination. For this reason, the evolution of my art may depend on new experiences and information and on certain events that reactivate the algorithms of my artistic production and my inspiration. However, incorporating and combining old information with the most current, allows my Experiential Brushstrokes, which are the basis of Rivismo, to make any composition can always be the most current and the most evolved.

6. What does art mean to you?

When I refer to aspects such as creativity, inspiration, imagination, composition, surprise, etc., I am considering elements and mechanisms that work in an invisible way. Imagine, for example, a fried egg that works on a mechanism as if it were a steel cogwheel. I can visualize it, but it is not possible to make it visible if I do not use material means.
The transformation of an invisible idea into that which is visible gives rise to something that can be considered as art. I agree that; "Art does not reproduce what is visible but makes visible what is not always visible".
When in previous paragraphs, I have talked about my lived experiences, as a basis for creating my artistic proposal, I am validating the idea that art serves as a witness to analyze, identify and describe our experiences. In short, it describes our inner reality. It is like a mirror to see the soul.
Logically, this visible manifestation is conceived to be incorporated into total art, which is Nature. At that moment, the spectators, who are citizens of the world, act expressing what they feel; they react, are surprised, imagine, dream, suffer, give opinions, etc. If it is possible to achieve a positive effect, it could be affirmed that art contributes to enriching the sensitive interior of every human being.

7. What’s the most valuable piece of art to you?

In the previous paragraph I have defined as total art, Nature. For me, it is the most valuable work of art. An exceptional genius. It is a work that can be observed by almost eight billion citizens, they constantly react to what they see, they never fall into indifference and, moreover, it is alive. The works; Paintings, sculptures, architectural constructions, musical and literary compositions, etc., created by man and made in a visible way, constitute a contribution to the scene of this nature. From this perspective, it can be considered that art, in general, is an imitation of nature itself. The value of each integrated work is defined by a series of parameters that are relative, so I can't decide on any, but yes, consider this great artistic contribution made by man and that enriches the scenery of nature made by an extraordinary non-human genius.

8. What’s next for you in the future?

The future is unpredictable, so I will continue my research work to improve and optimize the results of my artistic proposal, which, as I have indicated, is called Rivismo, its base of work being the Experiential Brushstrokes. I will make the most of my creativity and my imagination. I will place my inspiration in the ideal and comfortable place so that you visit me often.
I will continue to exhibit my works internationally; physically or through digital and online exhibitions. I will participate in books and art magazines and I will contribute to disseminate my work on Websites, Social Networks and Blogs.
I hope to continue showing my works in exhibition spaces of international prestige. And also, I want to receive criticism from art professionals, to help me improve my contribution to the art world day by day.
