Painting is the purpose of my life and my proof of self-existence. I have been making art since I was a young girl. I have drawn water lilies floating in ponds for over 20 years. Light, shadow, time, seasons and motion are the themes I explore through the water lilies series. My other works include still life, cats, animals and nature. Later, I became fascinated by Venetian masks, carnival, and masquerade. I think that we all have masks we wear. I'm fascinated with the eyes peeping out from the mask, so I paint people who have various characteristics in their masks.
