Philip Gilderdale
I have been an artist for over 30 years, located in Melbourne Australia.
I have recently stood out for my ability to deal with different themes and mediums, showing versatility and a unique artistic style. The use of vibrant colours helps me express my view of the subject matter, with positive emotions.
My focus has been on nature, abstract and resign art. Recently experimenting on acrylic / resign art, adding another layer to the visual experience.
The nature art is a reflection of the great Australian outdoors, focusing on impact and colour, with oversized art pieces, that create a big impact when you walk into the art exhibition.
My abstract style has incorporated a typical expressionistic flair, with bright tones and strong visual impact. I am always trying to transmit a powerful dynamism between brush strokes and spots of colour, to make the picture jump out from the canvas.
The ultimate aim with my gem stone art, is to give life to the devastating and regenerative force of the cosmos, using precious gem stones and crystals, in a way that creates a feeling that you are staring out into space.
My multidisciplinary approach has attracted more interest from art lovers, as there is always one favourite creation, that triggers an optical sensation or mood from the viewers unconscious.
I thank the team at “The Contemporary Art Station” for selecting me as a winner of this award.
