Amy Mains
Reflection: Looking back at where I was five years ago and seeing what all I have accomplished to receive such a complimentary, prestigious award.
Pausing life, thoughts and emotions to learn, grow and embrace the future. For life isn’t simple, each day is precious and meant to be lived to its greatest potential.
My husband had suddenly passed and I had to find a way to brighten my days.
Photography became my focus, nature became peace of mind. Presenting my art became nominations, publications and awards.
I was told to try, to put my art out there.
I had to see what I was capable of. I had value and a life to live. What transpired was a woman with immense desire to grow beyond imagination.
I wrote about my photos expressing feelings from my heart. The wonderful comments became a source of encouragement. I will continue to strive for success.
"The Path in Peace"
"The expansive view of the landscape with its vivid blue sky stretching over a sunlit path.
The contrast between the earth tones of the grass and trees and the vastness of the sky evokes a sence of peaceful solitude inviting the viewer to step into the tranquility of the scene."
-Tim, Thompson Gallery, Switzerland
"Walk This Way"
My heart, smile and vision. In memoriam to my husband Doug. We learned to fly his drone here together. His faith in me I will forever treasure within my heart.
