Marta Carceller

My artwork, very far from any trend or fashion, is a testimony of my experiences and my deepest intimacy, and it explains part of my personal history. With the help of paint, brushes, spatulas, canvas, and wood as support I can capture and externalize all of this and transform it into an external to me object lasting over time.

My work symbolizes, through scenes that capture everyday moments and lived experiences, the value of family. The family constitutes a universal cultural value that affects all of the Humanity, therefore, my works reflect a concept that for me is one of the most important, and that is also necessary for society in general.

Through my work I “speak” about values associated with the family, such as love, generosity, empathy, commitment, trust, respect for others, solidarity, justice, complicity, cooperation, compassion, mutual support, the sense of belonging and tolerance, among others.

I am satisfied to be able to transmit to my artworks viewer a minimum part of what I feel when painting involves me in this intimate act of creating what I feel.
My technique uses all of this to give a more expressionistic meaning to what is apparent, evoking the most primary feelings.
